Interactive education: transitioning CD-ROMs to the Web

摘要: Abstract CD-ROM publishing of interactive multimedia has generally taken the model printing press and transferred it into new digital medium. Even when presented as multimedia, content itself is frozen in time not updatable. This frustrating since a becomes old hat soon pressed. More than year ago we integrated most Jane Goodall's fieldwork amongst chimpanzees Gombe National Park, Tanzania, title using sound, images, video text together with an intuitive explorative interface. In teaching courses “Virtual Chimps” called it, discovered that CD-ROMs are island solution far removed from what envision global knowledge system.
