摘要: Urban areas in developing countries are facing vast environmental problems as a result of rapid urbanization and industrialization. Of major concern is the contamination soils which increasingly becoming sinks for pollutants. However, to date only little known about pollution megalopolises countries. The aim this study was assess potential sources metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) urban environment Addis Ababa, capital Ethiopia. investigation revealed presence most analyzed pollutants soil sediment samples with total concentrations (dry wt) PAHs ranging from 186 3150 µg kg−1, PCBs 0.4 19 µg kg−1, Cu 14 173 mg kg−1, Zn 36 440 mg kg−1, Pb 9 700 mg kg−1, Ni 16 72 mg kg−1. In addition, polyaromatic sulfur heterocycles, typical oil petrol residues, were detected several sampl...
