摘要: The steroid hormone ecdysone regulates larval development and metamorphosis in Drosophila melanogaster through a complex genetic hierarchy that begins with small set of early response genes. Here, we present data indicating the also mediates egg chamber maturation during mid-oogenesis. E75, E74 BR-C are expressed stage-specific manner while EcR expression is ubiquitous throughout oogenesis. Decreasing or increasing ovarian titer using temperature-sensitive mutation exogenous results corresponding changes gene expression. stage 10 follicle cell E75 wild-type, K10 EGF receptor (Egfr) mutant chambers reveals regulation by both Egfr signaling pathways. Genetic analysis indicates germline requirement for ecdysone-responsive Germline clones mutations arrest degenerate mid-oogenesis exhibit similar phenotype, demonstrating functional responsiveness vitellogenic phase Finally, Adrenodoxin Reductase increases clonal confirms this steroidogenic enzyme required development. Together these suggest temporal profile may be reflection levels provides signals regulating progression oogenesis proper specification dorsal fates.
