摘要: Objective: The aim of the present study was to examine impact Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 Influenza on Australian emergency nursing and medicine workforce, specifically absenteeism deployment. Methods: Data were collected using an online survey 618 members three professional or colleges. Results: Despite significant increases in demand during Influenza, 56.6% staff reported at least 1 day only 8.5% redeployed. Staff illness with influenza-like by 37% respondents, 87% respondents who became ill not tested for Influenza. Of ill, 43% (n= 79) missing no days work 8% 14) being absent more than 5 days. mean number away from 3.73 (standard deviation = 3.63). Factors anecdotally associated (caregiver responsibilities, concern about personal illness, exposing family school closures, risk quarantine, stress increased workload) appeared be little relevance. Redeployment majority redeployment operational reasons. Conclusion: Future research related absenteeism, actual pandemic events is urgently needed. Workforce data collection should integral part organizational planning.
