Safety and feasibility of laparoscopic intersphincteric resection for very low rectal cancer.

摘要: Laparoscopic surgery has been reported to be one of the approaches for total mesorectal excision (TME) in rectal cancer surgery. Intersphincteric resection (ISR) as a promising method sphincter-preserving operation selected patients with very low cancer. From July 2005 December 2008, 35 underwent laparoscopic TME ISR. The results were compared retrospectively those previous open Conversion was necessary (3%) patient. median time 293 min and estimated blood loss 40 ml. pelvic plexus completely preserved 32 patients. There no mortality. Postoperative complications occurred three (9%) length postoperative hospital stay 17 days. Macroscopic complete achieved all cases. Complete (R0) 34 Clinical lymph node stage, time, significantly different between group group, but differences other factors not statistically significant. ISR is technically feasible safe alternative laparotomy favorable short-term outcomes.
