摘要: Although changes in climate are already impacting marine ecosystems, the development of adaptation options has lagged considerably behind that terrestrial systems. Regions experiencing high exposure to key drivers, like south-east Australia, represent prime locations for assessing impacts and developing, evaluating implementing cope with a changing future. Institutes within five jurisdictions have been proactive establishing formal collaborative structure (the South East Australia Program) facilitate linkages between biophysical, socio-economic governance domains, providing solid foundations develop implement options. Using rock lobster, abalone, snapper blue grenadier fisheries as case studies, we detail how change may intersect specific management tools structures each fishery use combination stock projections, scenario identification critical thresholds generate likely future scenarios. Development pathways, close consultation industry resource managers, will allow balanced responses can be introduced now, through medium longer-term responses. Central our approach is clear understanding what values being managed by identifying objectives different groups stakeholders weight these. This ranked, highlight where stakeholder conflict arise, enable relevant performance indicators metrics identified, transparent contextually framework.
