摘要: Ground-water contamination by non-aqueous phase liquids poses one of the greatest remedial challenges in field environmental engineering. Denser-than-water non-aqueos (DNAPLs) are especially problematic due to their low water solubility, high density, and capillary forces arising from interfacial tension between DNAPLs water. The problems associated with current pump-and-treat approaches have served as impetus develop alternative technologies accelerate in-situ DNAPL remediation. report provides a review technical evaluation for remediation occurring below ground-water table. Various reviewed evaluated on basis theoretical background, implementation, level demonstration performance, waste, site applicability/limitations, cost availability.
