摘要: The conditions under which categorical perception (CP) occurs for unfamiliar faces are unclear. Although CP is generally found only familiar faces, it has been reported after brief training (Levin & Beale, 2000) or even without any learning of the original (Campanella, Hanoteau, Seron, Joassin, Bruyer, 2003). Three experiments investigated whether can be observed an morphed face continuum preexposure to endpoints (Experiment 1); with exposure 2); named 3). was always matched pairs famous faces. However, induced when participants names paired endpoint before start experiment. results suggest that effects extremely rapidly clear category labels presented.
