摘要: The occurrence of germinal matrix hemorrhage (GMH), pontosubicular necrosis (PSN), and periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) was evaluated in 58 stillborn, among whom 23 (40%) showed one or more lesions. A comparative study neuropathological findings obstetrical histories stillborn beyond 26 weeks gestation a greater frequency damage when the pregnancies had been complicated. pathogenesis PSN is disputed. As found (13 cases), hyperoxia not an essential pathogenetic factor. may represent form anoxic encephalopathy. However, as isolated lesion infant diabetic mother most cases intrauterine growth retardation; hypoglycemia therefore be involved pathogenesis. Ultrasound examinations living neonates have indicated prenatal GMH some cases, our opens possibility that there involvement PVL well. Consequently, cerebral lesions diagnosed newborn occurred utero.
