摘要: Almost fully amorphous coatings of near-eutectic alumina-yttria-stabilized zirconia (Al2O3-YSZ) were prepared by air plasma spraying using Al2O3 and 8 mol.% YSZ crystalline-mixed powders. The consist mostly an phase with a small amount nanocrystals. Various characterization techniques used to understand coating formation the origins different phases within coatings. structure is attributed high glass-forming ability Al2O3-YSZ appropriate conditions. A number nanocrystals are produced during crystallization incoming molten droplets or recrystallization solidified splats accumulated heat. Scanning electron microscopy shows that have dense, layered low porosity, bright-field transmission images indicate sharp interface rather than grit-blasted wavy surface between substrates in as-sprayed crystallized at around 920 °C micro-hardness was 8.12 GPa.
