摘要: Background Liver kinase B1 (LKB1) is a protein that regulates the growth, integrity and polarity of mammalian cells. Recent studies have reported prognostic value decreased LKB1 expression in different tumors. However, results these remain controversial. Therefore, this meta-analysis was performed to more accurately estimate role prognostication human solid tumors. Methods A systematic literature search electronic databases PubMed, Embase, Web Science CNKI (updated October 15, 2015) identify eligible studies. The overall survival (OS), relapse-free (RFS), disease-free (DFS) clinicopathological features data were collected from hazard ratios (HRs), odds (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) calculated pooled with random-effects models using Stata12.0 software. Results total 14 covering 1915 patients tumors included meta-analysis. Decreased associated poorer OS both univariate (HR: 1.86, 95%CI: 1.42–2.42, P<0.001) multivariate 1.55, 1.09–2.21, P = 0.015) analyses. A subgroup analysis revealed associations between poor significant within Asian region (HR 2.18, 1.66–2.86, obvious for lung cancer 2.16, 1.47–3.18, P<0.001). articles involved analyses RFS DFS numbered only 3, no statistically correlations or observed study. Additionally, indicated larger tumor size (OR: 1.60, 1.09–2.36, 0.017), lymph node metastasis 2.41, 1.53–3.78, higher TNM stage 3.35, 2.20–5.09, P<0.001). Conclusion These suggest might be related prognosis serve as potential predictive marker factors. Additional are required verify clinical utility
