摘要: This study was designed to evaluate the aphrodisiac and spermatogenic potential of aqueous extract dried roots Chlorophytum borivilianum (CB) in rats. Male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups. Rats orally treated with (1) Control group: distilled water; (2) CB 125 mg/kg/day; (3) 250 (4) Viagra® 4 mg/kg/day sildenafil citrate their sexual behaviour monitored 3 h later using a receptive female. Their evaluated on days 1, 7, 14, 21 28 treatment by pairing pro-oestrous female rat. For sperm count continued further all groups except group for 60 days. At mg/kg, had marked action, increased libido, vigor arousal. Similarly, at higher dose (250 mg/kg) parameters enhanced, but showed saturation effect after day 14. On significantly both groups, mg/kg dependent manner. Thus, can be useful certain forms inadequacies, such as premature ejaculation oligospermia. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
