摘要: The present invention provides for the identification and cloning of functional plant centromeres in Arabidopsis. This will permit construction stably inherited minichromosomes which can serve as vectors transgenic animal cells. In addition, information on structure function these regions prove valuable isolating additional centromeric centromere related genetic elements polypeptides from other species.
