摘要: Neural crest cells (NCCs) are essential embryonic progenitor that unique to vertebrates and form a remarkably complex coordinated system of highly motile cells. Migration NCCs occurs along specific pathways within the embryo in response both environmental cues cell-cell interactions neural population. Here, we demonstrate novel role for putative Sonic hedgehog (Shh) receptor cell adhesion regulator, cdon, zebrafish migration. cdon is expressed developing premigratory but downregulated once become migratory. Knockdown results aberrant migration trunk NCCs: crestin positive can emigrate out tube stall shortly after initiation Live imaging analysis demonstrates reduced directedness migration, increased velocity mispositioned protrusions. In addition, transplantation suggests required cell-autonomously directed NCC trunk. Interestingly, N-cadherin mislocalized following knockdown suggesting regulate localization. Our reveal suggest mechanism by which Cdon localize membrane migratory
