摘要: Metallic interconnects represent the main component of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stack in terms weight and volume. They are typically made ferritic stainless steel (FSS) coated on air side. At operating conditions, interconnect is exposed to dual atmosphere: at cathode side; (a hydrogen-rich mixture) anode The stacks considered this study were field operated reformed natural gas for 5000, 9000 20,000 h respectively. analyzed from CROFER22APU side with Co-Mn base spinel. One has been studied each by sampling preparing cross section inlet outlet positions. samples characterized SEM-EDXS order investigate evolution interaction between metal substrate coating investigated highlighting formation chromia based thermal grown (at FSS/coating interface) solid-state diffusion Cr Fe into coating. microstructural features evolving as function time also quantified.
