摘要: SUMMARY This study experimentally clarified that changing the size of a charged object affects characteristics electrostatic discharge (ESD) occurs when moves toward stationary, grounded object. The spark lengths and currents were measured as charged, metallic, spherical electrodes different diameters approached stationary at speeds. charge voltages dc high-voltage power supply +4.0 kV +6.5 kV. According to results, average length tended shorten with speed electrodes. change in 5.0-mm-diameter electrode was faster than for 15.9-mm-diameter electrode. peak value first current greater approach 5 mm/s both value, rise time, rising also correlate length, correlation can be explained qualitatively an empirical equation deduced from resistance formula proposed by Rompe Weizel.
