On the persistence of firm expansion: The survival of new jobs in Austrian firms

摘要: Abstract: While the volatility of job creations has been studied extensively, survival chances new jobs are less researched. The question when and how to expand a firm is importance, both from firm's macro perspective. Adjustment cost theories arguments about option values investment in expansion make predictions timing, sequencing form expansions. When we analyze 21 years creation Austria, find that (and firms) depends upon state business cycle at time creation, on number created, age. Jobs firms last longer than continuing firms.;
