摘要: The efficacy of a ‘novel mobilisation technique’ on thoracic, lumbar, hip and knee range motion Background Low back pain is common problem affecting most people at some stage in their lives. Manual therapy commonly used as form treatment the presence lower pain. Aim aim study was to investigate concepts regional interdependence with Mulligan’s movement effect novel technique (Mulligan’s traction SLR combined post-isometric relaxation). Study Design present controlled pre-post experimental research design. Method Twelve, healthy physically active male participants (mean age 28.1 ± 3.5 years), perceived ‘tight hamstrings’ were recruited for study. Participants randomised receive left (n=6) or right leg, using contralateral limb control. Outcome measures included; SLR, KE, modified Schober’s (Tsp, Lsp) sit reach tests, which taken before, immediately 1hour post intervention. Results main statistically significant clinically meaningful result included immediate changes Tsp difference = -0.40 SD 0.48, 95% CI -0.70 -0.10, t -2.9, p 0.014, d 0.435) test -2.20cm 1.56, -3.30 -1.20cm, -4.869, -2.62 2.89, -4.5 -0.78cm, -3.1, 0.009, 0.39 “small”) . There no KE passive Lsp 1-hour Conclusion applied demonstrated tests. limitations potential ‘ceiling’ baseline values, short duration (‘time under tension’) warm up.
