摘要: Enhanced dynamic range requires more than 8 bit representation for single color components of pixels. For this purpose, normal resolution images and high are available. Backward compatibility can be achieved by a layered approach using enhancement layer, conventional image as base layer. Both have same spatial temporal resolution. Encoding the layer uses prediction residual. A methods optimized is disclosed. Color depth done constructing polynomial that approximates all pixels one component block from predicted version residual generated updated The coefficients compressed added metadata to data stream.
