摘要: The suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in the hypothalamus controls many of circadian rhythms mammalian species. In present study, we investigated location substance P receptor (SPR)-containing neurons rat SCN, using a specific antibody against SPR, which corresponds to NK-1 subtype tachykinin receptors, and also examined synaptic relationship between SPR-containing retinal fibers at ultrastructural level. An SPR-immunoreactive meshwork labeled somata dendrites was identified SCN. strongest SPR-immunoreactivity observed dorsal lateral parts Many were there their protruded ventrally from somata. A few ventral part SCN within optic tract. eye-enucleated animals, degenerating shown terminate on forming asymmetrical axo-dendritic contacts.
