摘要: Abstract Hydatid disease (HD), also known as echinococcal or echinococcosis, is a worldwide zoonosis with wide geographic distribution. It can be found in almost all parts of the body and usually remains silent for long period time. Clinical history varied based on location, size, host immune response, complications. The most common imaging modalities used diagnosis further evaluations HD are ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MRI). Although conventional radiography may first tool, rarely lead to definite judgment. indications cyst location alter choice imaging. MRI CT would useful when involved area inaccessible ultrasound surgical treatment required. particularly valuable osseous organ involvements presence calcifications demonstrates number, local differentiate from neoplasms cases an unusual appearance Moreover, it preferable biliary neural involvements. Besides, more detailed images could help resolve diagnostic uncertainty. Imaging main stem diagnosis. Brain, orbit, muscle, bone, vascular structures less commonly areas. Familiarity typical clinical presentation, scan MR findings this sites facilitate radiologic guiding appropriate treatment.
