摘要: The purpose of this study was to measure the improvement in quality life (QoL) following isolated anatomical double-bundle medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction. This is a single-centre, prospective 56 consecutive patients (57 knees) who underwent MPFL reconstruction between 2014 and 2017. Functional outcome QoL were assessed with Kujala score EQ-5D-3L questionnaire, respectively. Objective outcomes obtained through clinical examination at latest follow-up assessing redislocation rate, patella apprehension test, patellar tilt, pain range motion. median increased from 60 (range 31–96) 92 34–100) (p < 0.001). EQ-5D index also increased, 0.69 0.10–1) baseline 1 0.16–1) (p < 0.001), as well VAS 75 20–95) 40–100) Four dimensions significantly improved except for anxiety/depression scores. Female reported lower scores follow-up, all three (Kujala, index, VAS), however there no evidence that gender negatively impacted on benefit surgery. re-dislocation rate 0%. Apprehension tilt test negative flexion deficit identified follow-up. Two had tenderness along requiring femoral screw removal one them. Isolated aperture reconstruction, offered short-term excellent functional outcome. scored lower, but did not affect overall Including tools assessment operations, such MPFL, can provide more accurate understanding patient benefit.
