摘要: THERMAL MATURITY OF DEVONIAN , CARBONI FEROUS AND TRIASSIC ROCKS IN THE CENTRAL PART MAŁOPOLSKA MASSIF FROM CONODONT COLOUR ALTERATION INDEX Abstract. A paleothermal study of Devonian, Carboniferous and Triassic carbonate rocks was carried out in eight boreholes from the central part Malopolska Massif by using data on thermal alteration organic matter contained conodonts. The maturity expressed as CAI (Colour Alteration Index) values used to calculate palaeotemperatures that affected conodont-bearing rocks. In Wegrzynow IG 1 borehole, for Upper Givetian, Frasnian, Famennian Lower range 3 (Givetian) 2 (Lower Carboniferous). It suggests heating (at temperatures 60 110°C) area high palaeogeothermal gradient, close Variscan front. Devonian sequence Pągow value 4.5 proves rock at a temperature exceeding 230°C result higher heat flow near fault zone. low (1‒1.5) provide evidence 50 90°C. relatively indicates sediments must have reached their Late prior orogeny. signs crude oil natural gas observed attest potential hydrocarbon exploration.
