Complete uterine prolapse without uterine mucosal eversion in a queen

摘要: A five-year-old female cat weighing 3 kg was presented by the owner after noticing a large pink, bilobed mass protruding through vulva during labour. The in good condition, with appropriate lactation, and newborn kittens were nursing normally. uterus not reverted or invaginated at examination, there rupture of mesovarium, mesometrium uterine-vaginal connection around cervix. Manual reduction prolapsed possible because torn ligaments. coeliotomy performed to remove ovaries, apex uterine horns passed vaginal route. remaining part disconnected, removed. queen discharged from hospital on second day surgery. An unusual feature this case is that prolapse complete, without eversion any tear.
