Improved Location and Positioning Utilizing Single MIMO Base Station in IMT-Advanced System

摘要: This paper discusses an improvement of location and positioning estimation using one the IMT-Advanced systems known as mobile WiMAX. The Single MIMO Base Station (SMBS) in WiMAX is combined with a virtual technique, Virtual Stations, created novel algorithm for (L&P) purposes. based on angle arrival (AOA) departure (AOD) measurement parameter completed new SMBS base station (SMVirBS). developed includes effect geometric dilution precision (GDOP) to assist accuracy. simulation results showed that proposed SMVirBS technique always outperforms linear least square (LLS) terms estimated also has capability work well non-line sight errors (NLOS).
