Broadband RF transformer

摘要: A broadband RF transformer design is described that facilitates the construction of a impedance in compact, planar format, while retaining ease assembly and manufacture. Broadband operation achieved through use slotted low-impedance winding structure, common-manufacture ferrite elements, optional placement reactive elements between turns. By virtue construction, thermal performance enhanced, allowing at power levels not previously possible. The invention accommodates functional tuning via laser or abrading techniques. Also, configuration eliminates need to access center spiral for purposes establishing ground connection.
