摘要: Sustainable development scholars are employing participatory action research to establish platforms for collaborative inquiry and knowledge integration. While this tradition supports the revitalization of scholarly influence in sustainability policy practice, its recent expansion into new topics disciplines suggests need broad-based evaluation. To fulfill task, I conduct a systematic review last decade peer-reviewed research. The results study advance three critical ways. By mapping field, identify global patterns engagement assemble an interdisciplinary toolbox methods action. interrogating descriptions methodology lessons learned, uncover key issues with including threats methodological integrity. connecting empirical insights discourse on ethics, clarify standards suggest strategies improving engagement. This article brings coherence emergent potentially transformative field that is located at crossroads participation.
