摘要: The effects of food quality and overall intake on molt have been experimentally investigated in a number species. However, little is known concerning the influence periodic availability parameters, although there are some associations field. In this study, we manipulated through deprivation during adult juvenile European starlings, Sturnus vulgaris. By monitoring scores, wingtip shape, lengths length asymmetries primary feathers molt, demonstrated that can molt. Food-deprived starlings exhibited slower feather growth rates, duration rate were not affected. There no differences shape between food-deprived control birds at end for either adults or juveniles. We also observed erratic reshedding previously molted juveniles, did appear to be related experimental ...
