摘要: As evident in the mass protests during Arab Spring and Occupy movements, social media platforms helped protesters spread messages, organize, mobilize support for their campaigns. The emergence of collective action facilitated by has attracted much attention not only from journalists political observers but also researchers various disciplines. In recent years research devoted to deepening our understanding online surged. Yet, due its novelty complexity, more is needed further many facets it. Here authors study transnational nature through lens inter-network cooperation. We analyze interaction mechanisms between networks two actions related women's rights; i.e. ‘Women Drive’ (primarily Saudi Arabia) ‘Sexual Harassment’ (global). analysis based on data collected blogs 23 different countries authored female Muslim bloggers. methodologies used this include: an extraction each action, mapping interactions among actors common these networks, a sentiment observed provide better mechanisms. broader goal examine dynamics interconnected actions. both we observe aspiration toward awareness addressing gender inequality rights.
