摘要: In the mouse embryo, early organogenesis is characterized by formation of a functional cardiac muscle, such that 9-day embryos exhibit beating, although not fully developed hearts. light this observation, we found it intriguing embryoid bodies (EB), which can develop in vitro from totipotential embryonic stem cells, undergo spontaneous contractile activity. To determine if these cells are capable recapitulating aspects cardiogenesis, cDNA library was prepared beating EB and screened with chicken skeletal myosin heavy chain cDNA. We predominant transcripts encode alpha- beta-cardiac isoforms. addition, an isolated. The both hearts were to be same. Transcript-specific primers prepared, polymerase reaction analyses on single carried out. data show expressing beta-isoforms as well very low amounts transcript. These indicate transcribe appropriate tissue- developmental stage-specific genes therefore serve model system for studying cardiogenic processes at molecular level.
