摘要: The regulatory function of the Ras-like GTPases in diverse cellular processes, such as growth, cell movement, and protein trafficking, is critically dependent on targeting to proper membrane. Prenylation Ras, Rho/Rac, Rab GTPases, defined covalent addition isoprenyl groups cysteine residues near or at their carboxyl terminus, first necessary step that leads membrane binding these proteins. Recent progress molecular mechanisms prenylation, association, proteins will be reviewed here. detailed understanding may allow future development specific therapeutic agents interfere with each one
