The GBAR experiment: gravitational behaviour of antihydrogen at rest

摘要: The recently recommended experiment GBAR is foreseen to run at CERN the AD/ELENA antiproton source. It aims performing first measurement of Earth's gravitational acceleration on antimatter by observing free-fall antihydrogen atoms. This requires creating anti-atoms an unprecedented low energy. different steps and their present status are reviewed.
