摘要: Abstract This paper presents an application of the finite element method (FEM) to analyse hydrodynamic properties a floating breakwater in heaving and swaying motions. The body is considered as elliptical cylinder its aspect ratio b/a varied from 0.5 1.5 examine shape effects. Comparison FEM solution with existing theoretical shows good agreement. dependency such added mass, damping coefficient, dynamic pressure distribution wave amplitude on frequency oscillation established.
