摘要: Both 1H and 29Si magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR techniques are very useful for characterizing structure dynamics of the silica surface. 1H→29Si cross polarization (CP) provides a largely surface selective approach, although D2O exchange experiments demonstrate that small percentage silanols not accessible to water hence behave as interior silanols. The CP strategy also permits correlation CRAMPS-derived information on silanol hydrogen bonding with CP-MAS-derived distinction between single (Q3) silicons geminal (Q2) silicons. A working model can be constructed composite 100 111 faces β-cristobalite.
