摘要: Earlier research about the European citizens’ initiative (ECI) focused on its normative value, functioning mechanisms, and extent to which citizens are willing engage with it. So far, little efforts were made investigate whether ECI has an effect attitudes. This article provides empirical assessment how knowledge willingness use it may enhance a positive image Union (EU). The explanatory power of these two variables is tested against other determinants identified in literature as sources EU: democratic performance, perception representation, pursuit interests, citizenship. study draws original data set collected through web-survey at beginning 2015. Results indicate limited sometimes counter-intuitive EU several implications for future this participatory tool.
