摘要: Quality of life is frequently impaired among survivors critical illness, and psychiatric morbidity an important element contributing to poor quality in these patients. Among potential manifestations following symptoms posttraumatic stress are prevalent intricately linked the significant stressors present intensive care unit (ICU). As our understanding epidemiology post-ICU disorder improves, so must ability identify those at highest risk for period time illness implement strategies prevent symptom development. In addition, a focus on address clinically apparent will be essential. Much remains understood about identification, prevention, management this public health problem. This article addresses importance uniformity future epidemiologic studies, proposes framing factors into likely modifiable versus non-modifiable, provides assessment context novel conceptual model that offers insight attenuate illness.
