摘要: Abstract Poverty and climate change are important matters to be struggled within the scope of sustainable development goals. However, there may exist a paradoxical situation that implies trade-off relationship between poverty alleviation CO2 emissions reduction efforts. In this context, paper investigates whether such existed or not in 48 Sub-Saharan African countries over period 2010–2016 by employing panel quantile regression method. Estimation outputs reveal is strong for all levels. Results also provide evidence access electricity has reducing enhancing effect on emissions, respectively. show institutional improvements help both emissions.
