摘要: The method of Seemanathan et al (J. Food Sci. Tech. 23: 270-273(1989)) for determination ofγ-oryzanol, in soap stock rice bran oil, is very tedious and time consuming. This would hinder theevaluation the extraction purification γ-oryzanol. Thus, a simple rapid methodof γ-oryzanol proposed. depends on theaccurate partition coefficient (K) either by two consecutive or parallelextractions. K concentration are then solved mathematically. By using ethyl acetate as solvent extraction, it found that contained 7.6% ofγ-oryzanol dry weight basis 2.9% wet basis. distributedbetween (pH 9.5) 4.11.
