摘要: The use of surrogate outcomes that predict treatment effect on an unobserved true outcome may have substantial economic and ethical advantages, through reducing the length size clinical trials. There has been extensive investigation best means evaluating putative surrogates. We present a systematic review evolution statistical methods for validating surrogates starting from defining paper Prentice (1989). highlight fundamental differences in current evaluation approaches, their advantages disadvantages, examine understanding perceptions investigators this area.
