摘要: Action potentials were silenced in one eye of neonatal kittens by repeated intraocular injections tetrodotoxin for 5 to 8 weeks. After blockade was allowed wear off, receptive field properties individual relay cells the lateral geniculate nucleus examined. The many ON-OFF and binocular fields found layers that receive input from treated suggest these had extremely abnormal retino-geniculate synaptic connections. These effects different kind those seen after deprivation rearing does not silence action potentials. Lack potential activity concluded lead development central nervous system.
