摘要: Abstract A simple parameterization of turbulence in an analytical study wave drag (WD) is used upon governing equations for linearized, parallel, adiabatic, dry Boussinesq flow. Besides the known dependencies WD on vertical profiles mean wind and temperature shape orographic disturbance, also depends eddy diffusivity, which parameterizes turbulence. Since diffusivity present, not constant with height but continuously dissipated atmospheric boundary layer (ABL). This dissipation sometimes negligible because characteristic wavelengths associated ABL over small ridges are short enough (λx ∼ 1 km) to experience overall Under certain conditions when no critical level encountered (although might be approached asymptotically here), can reduced roughly 15%–20% its surface value. Hence, it revealed that support stable ABL.
