Value of sonomorphological criteria of the endometrium in women with postmenopausal bleeding: a multivariate analysis

摘要: Objective This study was performed to examine whether an improvement in the transvaginal sonographic evaluation of endometrium is possible by addition sonomorphological criteria measurement endometrial thickness women with postmenopausal bleeding. Methods Various were analyzed prospectively 321 patients In a logistic regression model relevant selected and diagnostic formula for differentiation findings derived. Results The structure, endometrial— myometrial border significant malignancy. These results allowed estimation probability malignancy each finding. Using cut-off point 0.1 malignancy, sensitivity specificity 96.8% 61.9%, respectively, accuracy 72.3%. contrast, as sole criterion (cut-off ♢ 5 mm) achieved 97.9% 33.2%, 52.3%. Conclusion A useful based on metric obtained. increased minimal loss sensitivity. However, estimates sensitivity, specificity, may be overoptimistic because they derived from same data used development model.
