摘要: The stereochemical configuration of hopane-type triterpanes in source rock extracts or crude oils is normally determined by the maturity sample1. Naturally occurring precursors hopane hydrocarbons are dominated 17βH, 21βH stereochemistry with only one diastereomer at C22 position C31 and higher homologues2. Note that 21βH-C28 homologue has never been reported any sample. Mature general contain thermally more stable 17αH, a mixture two diastereomers for homologues ratio ∼3/2. We present here evidence presence an unusual distribution hopanes Australian oil. A study computerized gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (C–GC–MS) designed to determine whether different from same basin have similar sources revealed unstable isomers triter-panes conjunction diastereoisomers 1:9. propose there possible explanations this triterpanes. (1) oil immature (2) these compounds accumulated as it migrated through coals region reservoir which also known distribution.
