摘要: Friedreich's ataxia is associated with a high incidence of diabetes mellitus. We have previously demonstrated that insulin resistance present in nondiabetic patients ataxia. This was reduction the affinity receptors on freshly isolated monocytes. In this study we investigated ability monocyte receptor to acutely alter its response oral glucose. Glucose and concentrations were higher after an glucose load, consistent presence resistance. The normal increase monocytes 5 h absent five Receptor actually decreased three patients.
