摘要: Global warming has received increasing public attention during the past years. The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is one of three flexible mechanisms established by Kyoto Protocol to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Similar Emission Trading and Joint Implementation, CDM a market-based approach (Michaelowa 2004), but obtains special position in integrating developing countries into combating climate change. Although theory effectively designed ecological economic terms (Pohlmann reality problems arise from certain project criteria related aspects additionality sustainability. Furthermore, projects are inequitably distributed (Jung 2005) among potential host countries. Therefore many debates as whether activities under actually lead sustainable development contribute change mitigation. This chapter briefly outlines theoretical concept critical such additionality, sustainability distribution projects. Special given implications for Brazil, since country most important hosts Mechanism. case Brazil shows that inequitable CMD not only phenomenon global scale, also occurs within Activities tend concentrate rather well developed parts, while number less region very limited.
