摘要: The formation and detachment behavior of droplets from a pore opening into simple shear field within channel gap is investigated using numerical simulations. mathematical model consists the governing equations for an incompressible two‐phase flow problem with moving contact line. These are numerically solved volume‐of‐fluid method implemented in open source software OpenFOAM. A parameter study was performed to determine effect relevant dimensionless parameters on droplets. involve size, rate, interfacial tension, viscosity density two fluid phases. For range considered this study, different degrees jetting were observed. Also, sizes detached seen decrease as rate increased, increase having larger effect.
