摘要: Lactation anoestrus limits the flexibility of modern pig production systems such that any increase in lactation length reduces farrowing frequency, and thus profit. This review focuses on post-partum development sow's reproductive system, physiology how it can be overcome, as well fertility sows mated while lactating. The propensity for to ovulate spontaneously lactating is high (24-31%), a proportion will rapidly synchronously response combinations altered suckling (split weaning, interrupted suckling), daily boar contact, exogenous gonadotrophins, group housing. apparent ease with which overcome represents an opportunity uncouple sow mating from reducing impact productivity. especially true when considering benefits described stimulation methods performance (i.e., shorter weaning oestrus intervals higher litter sizes) low maintain anoestrus.
