摘要: This paper investigates spatial distribution of places worship (PoW) and its implications on sustainable land use planning in a rapidly urbanising city Kumasi, Ghana. Using semi-structured interviews, document reviews agency consultations, this focused three issues: (a) the location PoW, (b) factors considered these PoW by faith groups (c) PoW. Findings indicate that decisions vary according to different groups. However, none interviewed regulations as key decision-making factor, proximity members, affordability availability remained dominant factors. situation has created avoidable conflicts become an additional burden urban authorities who are already faced with pervasive challenges such slum development sprawl.
