摘要: This paper is concerned with a widely studied problem–that of the identification modal characteristics freeway overcrossings and other bridges that their response interacting approaching embankments foundation. The study implements sophisticated parameter estimation method known as Prediction Error Method examines in detail sensitivity (frequency damping) bridge when input signals are taken (a) at free field, (b) pile caps (c) on abutments caps. findings this case Meloland Road Overcrossing compared results from past system studies finite-element analyses which examined depth contribution response. concludes despite appreciable energy dissipation capability concrete structure while mechanically its transverse damping remains small.
