摘要: On the one hand, very strong similarities have been reported between dynamical behaviour of vibrated dense packings grains and supercooled liquids at onset glass transition. other hand a lot attention has paid to mechanical properties granular close jamming. Here, after necessary clarification different meanings jamming, we propose review some hereabove mentioned similarities. We discuss, through comparative study two systems super-cooled repulsive liquid, how elementary relaxation events spatio-temporally organize The decomposition microscopic dynamics into “trivial” vibration-like motion rare “cage jumps”, which dominate dynamics, is common feature these systems. As result origin vibrating motion, thermal or mechanical, becomes irrelevant, hence observed macroscopic scale. discuss evolution spatio-temporal organisation when approaching transition investigate its relation softness structure.
